ABOUT THE ARTIST Rachel Rasfeld is an artist and educator. She currently lives and works in the Kansai area of Japan and teaches occasional watercolor sketchbook classes. Previously, she has worked as an outdoor educator, naturalist, zoo educator, and museum education staff member. Her educational background includes natural science and fine art. She has a particular interest in East Asian art and is pursuing studies of sumi-e/suibokuga (Japanese ink painting).
